Brainspotting is a powerful, brain-based therapy that helps access and process experiences stored deep in the nervous system. It works by identifying specific eye positions, called brainspots, that are connected to emotional or physical activation in the body.

When difficult experiences aren’t fully processed, they can remain “stuck” in the brain and body, showing up as anxiety, overwhelm, chronic stress, trauma responses, or physical tension. Brainspotting gently allows the brain to dislodge it, neutralize it and/or heal and integrate.

Brainspotting sessions are deeply attuned. Rather than retelling your story, Brainspotting emphasizes mindful awareness, body sensations, and internal experience. You remain fully present and in control while the therapist provides steady support and guidance.

Brainspotting can be helpful for anxiety, burnout, stress, etc. Many clients describe it as both profound and surprisingly gentle, creating space for vagal nerve and nervous system neutralizing and releasing.

The goal of Brainspotting is to help your system release what it no longer needs—so you can feel more grounded, regulated, and connected in your daily life.

Brainspotting Music
Bilateral music uses gentle, alternating sounds between the left and right sides of the body to support the brain’s natural ability to regulate and process experiences. It can help calm the nervous system, reduce emotional intensity, and promote a sense of balance and grounding. Many clients find bilateral music soothing and supportive, making it easier to stay present, focused, and emotionally regulated during sessions.

It's recommended that client's wear headphones during brainspotting and play the brainspotting (bilateral) music.

Spotify, Apple and Amazon all have great playlists created by David Grand, Founder of Brainspotting. Keyword search: "brainspotting," "David Grand, "bilateral stimulation."
